Gerard's Mustard Tart

Well, I did it! I made Gerard's Mustard Tart from Dorie Greenspan's beautiful new book, Around my French Table. I enjoyed making it and learned a lot of new techniques (although I have certainly not mastered them!). It was a lot of work. The verdict is still out on this one. We will give it a proper tasting tomorrow (midnite was perhaps not the best time for a Mustard Tart tasting!). I read through the posts on the French Fridays with Dorie blog and decided to make mine rustic looking in terms of how the vegetables were arranged.

  1. I love how there is so much variability in the tart in terms of not only how you can make it taste (veggies, tomatoes, etc.) or in how it looks. Great job!

  2. Your tart is beautiful, Gigi. (Some of my leaks charred a bit like yours, and I just loved that look AND flavor.)
